Hey guys this is Ian here, and together with Sam we produced this mix to hype you up for EMAS’ Miami Vice Festival 2016!
This mix focuses mainly around house music with a throwback twist; just a taste of what Miami Vice will have to offer on the 8th of April. EMAS is known for packing as much variety, genres and energy as possible into their events, so if house isn’t your thing, don’t worry, there will be something for everyone!!
I played on main stage last year with Courtney for the EMAS Miami Beach festival. With Beach Balls flying in the air, a packed out crowd, silent disco, food, drinks and good music, the vibe was incredible. I am extremely excited to be playing main stage again this year with Andrew this time around, and together we have a few surprises planned for you.
On the other hand, last year I (Sam) went to Miami beach festival as a punter, having never experienced a university party before. I was blown away by the scale of the festival, arriving with the expectations of attending a university party. At this stage I had only just started DJing, and was strictly restricted to my bedroom. I remember going to the silent disco and thinking that one day I would be up their taking over a channel. The event was one of my highlights of 2015, and I am incredibly excited to be helping out this year, and hopefully providing you with an even bigger, more impressive and memorable Miami experience! The ever so popular, Silent Disco is making a triumphant return this time around, again with 3 separate channels (Bass, House, and Throwbacks/Party). Each channel has its own unique colour lit up on the headphones, ensuring the heated battle of “which channel can colour the marquee” continues.
A mini village equipped with a bar, food truck, chill out areas and vibes will be there for when you need to pick up supplies or take a minutes rest from raving. The action on Oak Lawn dies ends at midnight, but the party is only just starting. This year we’re extremely excited for the afterparty at one of Perth’s most notorious venues, more info coming soon so stay tuned!
